About us
We help schools find where learning breaks down
SubjectPath builds standards-aligned diagnostics that trace each student’s answers back to the skill where understanding stops, then give every student a path forward.
Why SubjectPath exists
A score tells a teacher that a student is behind. It rarely says why. Students who are missing an idea from an earlier grade keep running into it, and whole-class reteaching spends time on skills many of them already have.
We built SubjectPath to find the missing idea, so the time students and teachers spend goes to the skill that matters.
From one subject to many
SubjectPath began as a diagnostic for the foundations of Algebra 1. The method behind it, standards mapped as prerequisites, wrong answers tagged to misconceptions and questions chosen adaptively, isn’t specific to math.
So SubjectPath is built to match where we’re headed: Paths for math, science, literacy and languages, each built on a published standards framework. Algebra Readiness is available now; Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, ELA & Literacy, English Language Learners, and World Languages are coming soon.
How we build Paths
Standards first, and honest about measurement
Standards first
Every Path starts from a published framework, mapped as a graph of which skills build on which.
Misconceptions catalogued
Wrong answer choices are written to reveal specific misconceptions, drawn from a controlled catalog.
Honest about measurement
We explain our methods openly, and we say plainly what the diagnostic does and doesn’t measure yet.
Who we are
Built by a team with nearly a decade in personalized learning.
